Training on Wind Power Technologies

IZTECH, Gotland University of Sweden and with support of Turkish Wind Energy Association are organizing a training course on “Wind Power Technologies”, which will take place between June 11 and 13, 2012 at Radisson Blu Resort & Spa in Çeşme. The course aims to present an interdisciplinery view of the basic facts on wind power energy.

The 8th International Symposium on Intrinsic Josephson Effects and Plasma Oscillations in High-Tc Superconductors (PLASMA 2012) will be held in Çeşme, Izmir, Turkey, from June 10 to 13, 2012.The conference will focus on various topics related to intrinsic Josephson junctions and novel phenomena in Josephson junction systems.

ICTP Director's IZTECH Visit

Prof. Fernando Quevedo, Director of “The Abdus Salam ICTP (International Center for Theoretical Physics)” and Deputy Director Prof. Seifallah Randjbar-Daemi will be visiting IZTECH during May 17-18, 2012, upon the invitation of our Rector.Prof. Quevedo will deliver a talk on May 17 at 11:00am, entitled “ICTP: A Success Model for International Collaborations” at the Library Conference Hall.

Design of Extendable Regular Tesellations

Associate Professor Dr. Koray KORKMAZ and graduate student Aylin GAZİ of IZTECH Architecture Faculty have carried out a study titled “A Method for Design of Extendable Regular Tesellations”. The study covers mosaic types and the areas where the new method can be employed.
