IZTECH OPEN HOUSE
IZTECH is organising Open House on its Gülbahçe Campus in order to inform candidate students in their university preferences. Those students wishing to choose to study at IZTECH are welcome to attend “IZTECH Open House”, which will take place on July 19 and 21, and get detailed information from academics and staff.

Workshop: Recent Progress in the Physics of Thermal Transport
The workshop is organized and mainly sponsored by the International Center for Theoretical Physics – Eurasian Centre for Advanced Research (ICTP-ECAR) and will take place from July 17 to 21st of 2017 at the Izmir Institute of Technology, Izmir, Turkey. The workshop is titled “Recent Progress in the Physics of Thermal Transport” and will host many scientists from various countries as speakers having important studies in their fields.

IZTECH Tops The 2017 Student Satisfaction Survey
İzmir Institute of Technology was rated the first among 108 public universities in Turkey in the 2017 Student Satisfaction Survey. The survey was conducted with 13 thousand university students in Turkey and when all the universities in Turkey are taken into account, IZTECH ranks second.

IZTECH has succeeded in being listed among the best universities on the 2016-2017 World University Rankings administered by the London-based higher education ranking institution Times Higher Education (THE). The list is composed of institutions that have made an application and IZTECH made it to the list on its first application along with 18 other universities from Turkey.

Chemical-free Tomatoes are no longer a dream
Thanks to the project realised by scientists from IZTECH, it will be possible to produce tomatoes without using the chemicals involving carcinogen substances and therefore ruining the ecological balance. Led by Professor Dr. Sami Doğanlar of IZTECH Molecular Biology and Genetics Department and supported by the SANTEZ programme of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, this project will enable Turkey to have a say in the world market by making it a country exporting seeds.
