Physical, Biological and Chemical Foundations of Bioelectronics, Biophotonics and Biosensors
Under the auspices of ICTP-ECAR, the goal of the proposed workshop is to bring together the experts and interested parties to interrogate and discover a set of crucial bio-chemical parameters that correlate fundamentally with the physical electromagnetic phenomena in bioinspired, biomimetic and biological systems with an emphasis on addressing the needs for future practical implementations in technology and medicine.

IZTECH Tops The 2016 Student Satisfaction Survey
İzmir Institute of Technology was rated the first among 174 public universities in Turkey in the 2016 Student Satisfaction Survey. The survey was conducted with 11 thousand university students in Turkey and when all the universities in Turkey are taken into account, IZTECH ranks fourth.

IZTECH Chemical Engineering Students Win 2016 Design Challenge
Chemical engineering students of IZTECH who used Honeywell’s simulation software to show how biodiesel byproduct can be utilized in an energy-efficient, integrated process to produce bio-gasoline, have been named the winners of Honeywell Process Solutions' (HPS) annual UniSim® Design Challenge. The students were recognized during the company’s annual customer symposium for the Americas held this week in San Antonio, Texas.

IZTECH opens Department of Photonics
IZTECH Department of Photonics has been opened at master’s and doctorate levels. To mark the opening of the Photonics Department, an international workshop was oganised by ICTP-ECAR (International Theoretical Physics Center –Eurasia Advanced Research Center). The workshop was held at Prof. Dr. Erdal Saygın Conference Hall on August 27 and 28, 2015 and IZTECH Rector Professor Dr. Mustafa Güden and the Dean of Science Faculty, Professor Dr. Serdar Özçelik attended the event.
