Department at the Izmir Institute of Technology administers interdisciplinary programmes offering the degree of Master of Science and PhD degrees. Students holding baccalaureate degrees from a wide range of undergraduate programmes are eligible for admission. In the programmes, there are more than 20 faculty members who actively take part in research and lectures.
In the Institute, departments working in cooperation with MSE are Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, and Molecular Biology and Genetics and Architectural Restoration.
Throughout their studies, students are encouraged to take part in applied and theoretical research. CMR (The Center for Materials Research) which houses major analytical instruments within the Institute, provides unique research opportunities for the students of MSE.
MSE graduate programmes provide for the inculcation or state-of-the-art knowledge in applied science and technology and aim at the creation of new and original information in all MSE disciplines. More importantly, special attention is paid to national and regional research needs. | |
