As well as other basic engineering branches, computer engineering aims to use the resources available efficiently, to find the best solutions to problems in the field of computer engineering and in this way to facilitate people’s lives. In studies concerning the design of particularly computer based information systems, providing interoperability of the systems, acquiring, processing, and evaluating data, computer engineering provides the necessary information support by emphasizing the importance of the field.
The aim of our department is to create an atmosphere in which studies of research and development are carried out to develop projects in cooperation with the industry. This atmosphere also teaches students to think, to have access to information, to use this information correctly, and to prevent students from memorizing what they are supposed to learn. Our department has made it compulsory to finish a branch expertise integrated in our syllabus, which has been especially prepared according to the needs of our age, a feature which is unique among the other universities. Some of these branches are computer networks, software engineering, information management, embedded systems, artificial intelligence, and security. | |
